Bayleys Tussock Country Music Festival
Bayleys Tussock Country – New Zealand’s Country Music Festival is a must-do for country music lovers from across Aotearoa and around the world.
As New Zealand’s largest country music event, it's also a must for anyone who enjoys a party.
The fun-filled ten-day event is based on all things country from talented performers, busking, open mic nights, song-writing seminars, ute muster, kids’ competitions, the Gore Country Music Queen Gala crowning, workshops and all topped off with fierce competition for the coveted MLT NZ Gold Guitar Awards.
Thousands converge on Gore for the annual festival, which brings a celebratory-like excitement to the town. There's plenty of time for visitors to get to know Gore as a destination and learn the stories behind its eclectic mix of giant statues, its cultural history, fly fishing, bootlegged spirits and of course, its passion for a country music tune.
The festival is held by The New Zealand Country Music Festival Trust, backed by the Gore Country Music Club, NZ Songwriters’ Trust, New Zealand Gold Guitar Committee and the Gore District Council.
Bayleys Tussock Country – New Zealand’s Country Music Festival will run from 24 May to 2 June.
